Papua – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) stated that Egianus Kogoya will be officially tried by the Central Headquarters Management (GHQ) for his actions in releasing the New Zealand pilot, Philips, which was deemed not in accordance with organizational procedures.
KKB spokesman, Sebby Sembom, revealed that GHQ will impose strict sanctions on Egianus, including removing his rank as Brigadier.
Egianus' actions, which allegedly ignored the official release proposal and accepted bribes from the Indonesian side, have sparked anger among the KKB.
Before the release, Egianus had submitted a proposal to Indonesian and New Zealand authorities. However, the process ended with his release without following the procedures agreed to by the organization.
Sebby stated that Egianus' actions were considered a major betrayal, and as a result, GHQ decided to disband Kodap III led by Egianus.
Furthermore, Sebby quoted a statement from a KKB trainer who stated that Egianus' actions had harmed the internal trust of the KKB.
"What Egianus did is unacceptable to any KKB Commander or Officer," Sebby said.
The trainer, who was not named and is known to be a foreign citizen, even suggested more extreme action against Egianus.
The KKB assessed that Egianus' actions created serious internal tensions, especially with the alleged acceptance of bribes from Indonesia.
