SaguNews.com. - The National Liberation Army of West Papua raised the Morning Star flag which was held on July 1, 2018 at Kenyam, Nduga Papua. During the ceremony, TPNPB field operations commander Egianius Kogeya gave a startling statement.
He said about shootings of the civilian that occurred on 22, 25, 27, and 1 July 2018. The action is acknowledged as an action carried out by The National Liberation Army of West Papua.
The action was mentioned as a violent protest made to alert the Indonesian government. In his statement, Egianus Kogeya mentioned that they want to claim the right of self-determination for the nation of West Papua to separated from Indonesia
As reported previously, the series of shootings has resulted in 3 civilians and 2 policemen killed. Both civilians and police, all of them are indigenous Papuans.
