Attacks in Nduga Wasn't Military Operation

Boy said the police assisted by the TNI will continue to carry out law enforcement operations to arrest KKB members who since June 2018 conducted a series of shootings and violences to the civilians in Kenyam, the capital of Nduga District.

"Law enforcement will continue to capture the offenders who are members of the armed criminal groups . They are now hiding in Kampung Alguru. And what the police do with the help of the TNI is in accordance with the procedure, "said Boy Rafli in Jayapura, Papua on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

As is known, the shootout occurred on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in Alguru Village, Kenyam District, Nduga District, Papua. The incident started when police officers were shot from a distance, resulting in a counter fire between the security forces and the armed criminal groups.

Since June 2018, there have been two shootings of civilian aircraft landing to injure pilots and co-pilots on two different planes. The first shooting occurred on the plane of Dominim which occurred on June 22, 2018. The second shooting of Trigana Kamil pilot that occurred on June 25, 2018.

In addition to shooting, KKB also shot and abused civilians. Even a child who was persecuted Arjuna was forced to lose his parents who were shot by KKB on June 25, 2018 at Kenyam.
